Green Chair is always accepting materials, chandeliers, supplies, fabrics and décor items to repurpose and provide new uses for. With your donations of fabric, vases, flowers, or food, we can help make events green.
There are many agencies in this city that will make use of leftover perishable items from events. This helps to reduce the carbon footprint of events, while helping others!
Canadian Flowers for Food provides opportunity and support for marginalized groups in Canada; they accomplish this via donated potted plants and cut flowers. They do their best to maintain a two-block distance from floral shops & avoid competition with any floral vendors’ who have existing contracts within the community.
Community Angel Food Runners is the prepared and perishable food recovery program of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. Through the Community Angel Food Runners, they receive quality food donated from restaurants, hotels, cafeterias and schools. They then deliver the food to meal-providing agencies.
Quest is British Columbia’s largest food exchange program assisting low-income individuals and families in the Lower Mainland to overcoming their barriers with dignity and encouraging self-sufficiency. Not only providing access to nutritious food, they assist in meal planning, budgeting and job development skills.
